We are seeking a Principal Strategic Planner for a local authority in Oxfordshire on a long-term contract basis of 6-12 months.
The role requires extensive experience in town and country planning, preferably within a local authority, and a proven track record in planning policy and/or development management.
The position offers a competitive day rate of £500 and allows for flexible working hours, accommodating both full-time and part-time applicants.
The successful candidate will work in a hybrid model, with office attendance required only once a week on Wednesdays.
Key responsibilities include leading the preparation of local planning policy and providing strategic advice on major planning applications and infrastructure projects.

Overview:

We are currently recruiting for a Principal Strategic Planner to support a local authority in Oxfordshire on a long-term contract basis. This is a key role for an experienced planning professional with a background in policy and/or development management.

Requirements:

Extensive experience in town and country planning, preferably within a local authority (county, district or unitary).
Proven track record in planning policy and/or development management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a hybrid team.
