Overview:
We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Manager to lead the mechanical package on a major 20 million manufacturing facility project in Oxfordshire. The role is site-based full-time and covers the project from pre-construction through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the sole mechanical lead on site, reporting to the Project Director
  • Oversee the full mechanical scope, including HVAC, compressed air systems, and general building services
  • Lead planning, programming, and delivery of all mechanical works
  • Coordinate with design, commercial, and construction teams
  • Drive progress on site and manage all reporting lines into the mechanical function
  • Oversee procurement and manage subcontractors
  • Ensure adherence to budget, programme, and quality standards
  • Represent the mechanical team in all key project meetings


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager on large-scale mechanical projects
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems in manufacturing or industrial settings
  • Commercially astute with experience in budgeting, procurement, and cost control
  • Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Confident driving programme and managing teams through all phases of delivery
  • Ability to work independently while aligning with the wider project strategy
