The Role
The school seeks to appoint a motivated and reflective Religious Studies Teacher to join a dynamic Humanities faculty. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching across Key Stages 3 to 5 and play an active role in the broader academic and ethical life of the school.
Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging Religious Studies lessons to students at KS3–KS5

Encourage critical thinking, empathy, and respectful debate across worldviews

Prepare students for external examinations with a focus on academic rigour

Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives

Take part in whole-school activities and contribute to assemblies and enrichment programmes
Person Specification
Essential
-
A degree in Theology, Philosophy, Religious Studies, or a related field

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

Experience teaching Religious Studies at KS3 and KS4; KS5 desirable

Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to high standards

Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
