Role Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable History teacher to join the team. This permanent role is perfect for someone passionate about the history of the world and inspire students with your dedication to the subject to increase engagement in lessons!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective history lessons.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share teaching strategies.
  • Participate in school activities and events.
  • Build positive relations with each class to encourage engagement.
  • Communicate with parents about behaviour if necessary and on parent’s evenings.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching history at the secondary level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development.
