The role:

As a Mental Health Assistant, you will work in close partnership with a skilled multi-disciplinary team-including teachers, therapists, and support staff-to implement bespoke learning strategies for students with ASD. These young people may also face additional social, emotional, and mental health challenges, and your work will be essential in helping them access their education in a way that is meaningful and effective.

You will provide daily support, both one-to-one and in small groups, assisting students as they navigate their learning journey. Your input will help reduce anxiety, support communication and social interaction, and contribute to a calm and structured environment.

Your responsibilities:

  • Support classroom activities and lesson delivery as a Specialist Teaching Assistant
  • Deliver one-to-one interventions and small group support tailored to students with ASD
