About the Role

As a Student Support Assistant, you'll provide essential support to young people and adults with a range of needs, including severe, complex, or moderate learning difficulties, disabilities, and behavioural challenges. You'll assist in a variety of sessions such as Life Skills programmes, GCSEs, A-levels, and more.Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting students in class to access learning
  • Promoting independence and engagement
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Working closely with tutors and support staff to deliver high-quality education

This role requires empathy, patience, and a strong desire to help others succeed. It's ideal for those from care, youth work, education, or support backgrounds, or anyone with the values and commitment to help students thrive.
