Job Role: Junior Service Technician (Electronics)
Location: Oxford, Oxfordshire
Salary: £30,000-£34,000 per annum
Hours: Monday–Friday Days, 40 hours/week
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
The Client:
A global leader in environmental monitoring and instrumentation solutions is expanding its Service Department and seeking a Service Technician to be trained and developed within the Particle Counter and Electronic industry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on experience or a base understanding in calibration, diagnostics, and repair of precision instruments or electronics down to a component level looking to pursue a career in a rapidly expanding industry.
The Package:
- Monday–Friday schedule (40 hours/week)

The Responsibilities:
- Calibrate, troubleshoot, and perform minor repairs on instrumentation and particle counters
- Analyse service data to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Communicate technical issues and resolutions to internal teams
- Report recurring service trends to support product development
- Provide on-site service support as required (20–25% travel
The Requirements:
- 1–2 years of experience in technical service, instrumentation, or electronics
- Proficiency in Electronic Testing, Circuit Boards, PCB assembly
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and schematics
- Familiarity with electronic components and basic repair techniques
- Eagerness to learn develop and grow long term, participate in training and development when necessary.
- Educated to a minimum of a NVQ Level 3 or Degree in a relevant field
- Moderate proficiency in Microsoft Office and service tracking software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communicator across technical and non-technical teams
- Associate degree or vocational training in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- Full UK License
