First Achieve's client, a reputable and forward-thinking engineering business based in Oxford, is seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join their experienced team. This role is crucial to ensuring products are built to the highest standards of quality and precision, with a strong emphasis on TIG welding and sheet metal fabrication.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate components from sheet metal and laser-cut parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.

  • Perform TIG welding (and other techniques) on pipework and structural components.

  • Use a range of hand and power tools effectively to complete fabrication tasks.

  • Ensure a clean, organised, and safe working environment in line with health and safety regulations.

  • Work collaboratively with the team to improve processes and maintain high productivity.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues during the welding and fabrication process.



What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding (essential).

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret technical/engineering drawings.

  • Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication techniques.

  • Basic maths skills for precise measurements and calculations.

  • Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools.

  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and quality-driven approach to your work.
