The ideal candidate will have a strong background in busy food enviroments, a commitment to excellence, and a deep understanding of food safety and hygiene standards. You will play a key role in creating high-quality dishes, maintaining the high standards set in the kitchen, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, cook, and present dishes to a consistently high standard.
Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and seasonal updates.
Maintain full compliance with food safety and food hygiene regulations.
Monitor inventory, minimize waste, and ensure efficient stock control.
Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment.
Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned.
Collaborate with the management team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Uphold company standards for quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction.
Proven experience as a Chef or Senior Cook in a busy kitchen environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety, food hygiene, and allergen management.
Relevant food hygiene certification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Food Safety Certificate).
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and deliver consistent results.
Strong communication skills.
Passion for cooking, creativity, and attention to detail.
Formal culinary qualification (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
Experience with menu costing and stock management systems.
Knowledge of dietary requirements and sustainable sourcing practices.
