Job Title: Senior Site Engineer – Civil Engineering Contractor

On behalf of our client, a well-established and highly regarded Civil Engineering Contractor recognised for delivering first-class engineering and construction solutions, we are seeking to appoint an experienced Senior Site Engineer (or Section Engineer) to work on infrastructure projects based in Renfrewshire.

Role Overview

As Senior Site Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Site Agent to ensure projects are managed effectively and delivered on programme. A strong background in civil engineering is essential, particularly with experience in infrastructure, road, highway and bridge schemes. Key Responsibilities

  • Management: Supervise site engineers and provide support to the Site Agent and supervisors in daily operations.
  • Compliance: Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
  • Technical Support: Resolve technical challenges and provide engineering input to maintain the technical integrity of projects.
  • Dimensional Control: Guarantee precision in construction works through accurate setting out and dimensional control.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Education: Minimum HNC in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience:
    • At least 5 years’ experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, ideally within the bridge, road or highway sectors.
    • Previous experience in a civil contracting environment.
  • Certifications: Valid CSCS card.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work across multiple locations in Scotland.
  • Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence essential.
