Company Accountant - Book Keeper Wanted
The FAC Group of Business are looking for a Part time (approximate 7 hours per week) person. You will need to have at least 12 months working in an accounts environment and will be able to use sage accounts and moneysoft payroll software.
This position can be home or office based. Ideally you will need to live close to the FAC HQ which is based in Par. This position is flexible and providing the work is done, can be fitted in with family or other work commitments.

There will be a requirement to visit our offices in Par as and when needed. The successful candidate will also need to live locally to collect/receive accounting paperwork.

The role of The Company Accountant Bookkeeper is to record all company spending, including purchases, invoices and sales and provide accurate information on company outgoings for the purposes of filing accounts.
A Bookkeeper will be organised, efficient and skilled at keeping track of the various types of spending by the company. The position involves using relevant accountancy software and, typically, a Bookkeeper will be tasked with managing the balancing of accounts.
The Company Accountant/Bookkeeper will work with and liaise and report to our Chartered Accountants who will oversee and supervise and finalise the accounts in due course.

Key responsibilities:
Accountable for delivering an accurate trail of company spending, the Bookkeeper is responsible for the variety of activities that can include:
Daily usage of financial processes, enhancing and updating where needed
Management of sales ledger
Maintaining accounts, verifying and posting transactions
Balancing accounts on a day-to-day or week-to-week basis
Recording client assets and handling investments
Managing client invoices & payments
Liaising with clients, suppliers and banking contacts
Working closely with accountants to prepare VAT returns
Preparing schedules, statements and reports as requested
Managing & filing relevant documentation
The Ideal Candidate:
Possess first-rate numerical skills
Strong bookkeeping skills and previous experience in a similar role
Solid organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, including relationship building with individuals across the business
Highly computer literate with experience of accounting packages
Ability to work quickly, accurately and to deadlines, using a logical and methodical approach
Possess relevant NVQ/SVQ qualifications or specialist qualifications such as AAT
Knowledge of Excel or other spreadsheets
Complete company VAT returns
Process monthly Payroll for all our staff
Please note that this is a part time position where local - you must reside within 10 miles of our offices. We will consider remote working. You must have recent demonstrable skills as outlined above to be considered for this position.
