A well-established engineering business located in Harwich, Essex are currently recruiting for a Trainee Welder / Fabricator to join their team.

This will lead to a permanent position after a successful 3-month probationary period. Depending upon experience, this position is paying between 13 - 16 per hour.

Overview:

  • As a Trainee Welder / Fabricator, you will be involved in the welding & fabrication tasks within the workshop and will also accompany the fabrication team on-site.


What does the position involve?

  • As a Trainee Welder / Fabricator, you will be MIG welding materials that will be between 3mm - 15mm
  • Operating fabrication machinery and tools within the workshop under supervision
  • Measure, cut and prepare materials for welding & assembly
  • Follow heath & safety guidelines within the company
  • Supporting senior welder/fabricators with on-site installations and repairs



Candidate requirements:

  • Must be able to read from technical drawings
  • Will be a proficient user of fabrication machinery/hand tools & power tools
  • Qualification within welding / fabrication
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work well within a team as well as individually
  • Any MMA Welding experience is advantageous
