Trant Engineering Limited is an Engineering & Construction company, with offices and projects throughout the UK and Overseas. We have a number of different divisions, including Energy, Oil & Gas, Water, International, Process and Control & Automation.
We are currently seeking to recruit a General Foreman to join our team working on large civil engineering projects across the UK but primarily the North East of England. Works range from heavy civil engineering to large building works.
Reporting into the Site Manager, your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Management of sub-contractors
- Supervision of Site Operatives
- Daily site briefings
- Assisting with the Production of Health & Safety plans & Method Statements
- Writing Risk Assessments
- Site inspections
Qualifications
Applicants should hold:
- SSSTS / SMSTS
- CSCS
- Machine tickets/trade qualifications a bonus
Desired Skills / Background
- Heavy Civil Engineeringbackground
- National Grid knowledge a bonus
Applicants should demonstrate have a strong background in the successful delivery of civil engineering projects and will likely come from a skilled trades background. It may be that you are currently working as a General Foreman or perhaps you are a Site Supervisor seeking to take the next step in your career. Either way, you will be a strong manager of people, possessing the ability to get the most out of your team.
