Description
Here are the key responsibilities for the Group Financial Controller role:
- Oversee all company accounts, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Perform full balance sheet reconciliations.
- Manage quarterly VAT returns for the UK and overseas.
- Oversee payroll processing for over 110 employees
- Prepare weekly finance packs and monthly management accounts
- Assist with budgeting, monitor financial performance, and provide variance analysis.
- Monitor and manage cash flow to support financial stability and operations.
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
- Lead and mentor the finance and admin team, promoting continuous improvement.
- Identify and implement improvements to financial systems and processes.
- Collaborate on the development of financial systems aligned with growth goals.
- Working very closely with the Group Financial Director
Profile
The Successful candidate will have:
- A fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with substantial relevant experience.
- Highly knowledgeable in UK accounting standards, VAT, payroll, and tax regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like pivot tables and data analysis tools.
- Experienced with accounting and ERP systems such as Sage, SAP, or similar platforms.
- Skilled in leading finance teams, with a proven track record in a senior finance role within a medium to large business.
- Adaptable and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with strong analytical and leadership abilities.
