Some EHS roles are about ticking boxes.
This isn’t one of them.

If you’re the sort who likes clipboard-waving and endless form-filling, you’re probably going to hate this job.

Because this business wants someone who actually makes things safer — not just someone who talks about it.

They’re looking for an EHS Manager who knows how to drive real change, influence senior people without sounding like a robot, and help the site become safer, healthier, and greener in a way that’s sustainable — and actually makes a difference.

You'll be the lead on all things EHS. You’ll manage an EHS Coordinator, and you’ll have the credibility to advise, challenge, and sometimes push back when it matters.

You’ll get the backing to make stuff happen. Not just 'raise a concern' and watch it gather dust.

The day job:
• Own and drive the EHS agenda on site
• Manage and develop the EHS Coordinator
• Advise the senior team — and get listened to
• Lead risk reduction and hazard elimination projects
• Set strategies, spot the gaps, fix what’s broken

You’ll probably need:
• 3–5 years of proper safety and environmental management experience
• A decent handle on food manufacturing environments
• Experience managing people, even if it’s just one or two
• NEBOSH Certificate (ideally the Diploma), IEMA or similar

You’ll definitely need:
• Common sense
• A backbone
• The ability to talk to people like a human being

You’ll be joining a tight-knit team that actually supports each other. No empire builders. No one trying to catch you out.

And they’re serious about continuous improvement — not just chucking buzzwords in a job ad.

If you’re good at what you do — and you’re fed up working for businesses that aren’t serious about safety — this could be worth a chat.
