LGV Driver/Loader

Salary – £15.48 per hour

Hours – 45 hours per week, 06:00am to 15:30pm

Location – Penrith, CA11 8GU

As an LGV Driver/Loader at FCC Environment, you will lead a small crew and provide a safe, efficient and courteous waste collection service. You will be responsible for ensuring daily vehicle checks, driving to a high standard in compliance with road traffic legislation, and always maintaining a clean and professional image.

This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week.

What will you be doing?

- Leading your crew to deliver a consistent and high-quality waste collection service

- Conducting daily vehicle checks and promptly reporting defects

- Driving in a safe, lawful, and fuel-efficient manner

- Operating in accordance with Road Traffic Legislation and Working Time Directive

- Following management instructions and communicating effectively

- Ensuring high levels of customer service at all times

- Carrying out other job-related duties as required

What are we looking for?

- Full LGV Category C (Class 2) licence

- Valid Driver CPC qualification

- Experience in commercial driving

- Good local knowledge of the collection route

- Knowledge of relevant transport legislation

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Strong communication skills

- A courteous and trustworthy approach to your work
