Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking for a hands-on role within a well-established manufacturing environment, offering long-term stability and the chance to make a real impact?

On offer is a fantastic opportunity to join, a family bakery with over 75 years of experience producing high-quality cakes, sweet pastries, and Free From products for the UK's leading retailers and coffee shop chains. You will play a key role in maintaining and improving our production equipment, ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

This is the ideal role for an engineer with strong electrical skills, who enjoys problem-solving and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will work alongside a dedicated team, contributing to the ongoing success of a company that values quality, innovation, and its people.

The Role

  • Deliver effective electrical engineering support and occasional mechanical assistance across the department
  • Respond to breakdowns, carry out maintenance, repairs, and installations on a variety of manufacturing production equipment
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues, applying a methodical approach to identify faults and complete repairs
  • Work in compliance with Health & Safety, HACCP, and hygiene requirements
  • Provide input to continuous improvement initiatives within the site
  • Ensure all equipment meets statutory health and safety standards
  • Work a two-week early/later shift rotation, including emergency on-call cover (no rostered night shifts)

The Person

  • Experience with PLC and electronically controlled equipment, with the ability to diagnose and repair faults
  • Qualified to the latest IEE wiring regulations (desirable but not essential)
