A Male Support Companion is required to join a specialist case management and rehabilitation company providing Support Work, Case Management, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Medico Legal services to children and adults across North East England, North West England and Scotland. They are driven to help their clients recover skills lost through complex life-changing conditions, so they can live meaningful, rewarding lives. We are looking for a Male Support Companion to work with a 68-year-old client with Acquired Brain Injury. He requires support to keep him focussed on daily living tasks. He previously enjoyed the outdoors and was very active. This post would suit an active lover of the outdoors. You will assist our client to access the community, engage in activities of interest to him and be an integral part of his rehabilitation. Someone who is passionate about rehabilitation and reaching goals would be ideal for this role. As Male Support Companion you will have the following:
  • Previous experience of guiding individuals with sight loss is preferable but not essential as training will be given.
  • Valid UK driving licence and having car is essential.
  • You should be trained to NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or have equivalent experience e.g., completed year 1/level 4 of a recognised health profession degree course).
