Loading Bay Operative
Location: Kirkby Thore
Shifts: Monday to Friday - Rotating Shift pattern
Pay Rate: 12.25 - 14.98 depending on hours worked
We are seeking dedicated Loading Bay Operatives to join our team for the British Gypsum contract in Kirkby Thore.
Our client is a third-party provider of transportation and logistics services that offers a range of services from, Drayage, Global freight forwarding & Full truckload transport. The company is committed to environmental sustainability and works with customers to create action plans to reduce emissions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Secure loads by unstrapping and strapping them as needed to ensure safety during transit.
- Collaborate with forklift truck (FLT) drivers to confirm that loads are properly secured or ready to be unloaded.
- Provide support in loading and unloading activities if required, although these tasks are typically handled by FLT drivers.
- Maintain adherence to all site health and safety regulations.
Shift Pattern:
- Week 1: 21:00 - 06:00
- Week 2: 13:00 - 22:00
- Week 3: 06:00 - 15:00
Shifts rotate on a three-week basis, provided in advance. No weekend or bank holiday work unless overtime is offered.
Requirements:
- Flexibility to support loading/unloading if necessary.
