Our client based in Pentrebach is looking for a skilled HGV technician with a passion for vehicle maintenance to join thier team!

The person:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance
  • Proven experience in commercial vehicle repair and servicing
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Understanding of electronics, hydraulics, and wiring diagrams
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including overtime
  • Experience with electric vehicles, IRTEC qualification, or HGV Class 2 licence is a bonus

The Role:

  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on chassis and mounted equipment
  • Service vehicles to VOSA standards and prepare them for MOT inspections
  • Complete body and chassis repairs and ensure compliance with Department of Transport specifications
  • Maintain accurate records and enter job details into company systems
  • Liaise professionally with customers and work independently at customer sites
  • Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to company standards
  • Follow health and safety procedures and conduct risk assessments where required
  • Undertake training to enhance technical skills and knowledge

This role will be 45 hours per week | between 07:00 and 16:30 Monday to Friday.
The company offers 40-hour and 26-hour per week options to fit your needs. 

The salary for this role is between £39,782.78 - £41,804.95 pa DOE (based on 45hpw)
