Our prestigious client based in Pershore are currently looking for a MIG welder / fabricator to join their experienced workshop team.

The candidate will be required to manufacture a range of steel and aluminium fabrications. Primarily working with MIG on steel structures and tubular steel assemblies which are to be fabricated to BSEN 1090 Exc. 2 & 3 standards.

Ability in MIG welding is essential along with the ability to work unsupervised.

Welder Approval Qualification to Company procedures will be required following probation period.

There will also be some fitting and assembly works involved.

Metal Fabricator :

  • Ideally have 5 years’ experience in a welding/fabrication role or have completed an apprenticeship or holds a recognised welding / fabrication qualification e.g City & Guilds, BTEC .
  • Holds or has held welder approval test certification an advantage but not necessary as training to Company procedures will be offered
  • Has experience, preferably in the steel fabrication sector or service/maintenance industry.
  • Good workshop practices.
  • Experienced in metal cutting, guillotine and press-brake, saws.
  • Able to work from drawings
  • TIG welding and advantage but not essential 

Preferred Additional Experience

  • Bench assembly skills
  • Manual Handling techniques.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures relevant to engineering activities.
