RTL Group are working with a leading civil engineering contractor who are seeking an experienced Site Agent to lead delivery on a major highways infrastructure project near Perth, Scotland.
This is a long-term contract (3 years) operating outside IR35, offering excellent stability and a key leadership role in the successful delivery of complex structures works, including bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and other civil structures on a flagship highways scheme.

Key Responsibilities:

Take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of site activities related to structures on the highways project.

Lead site teams, including engineers, foremen and subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to specification.

Coordinate closely with designers, commercial teams, subcontractors and the client to drive efficient delivery.

Oversee programme management, planning and sequencing of works, identifying and mitigating risks.

Manage temporary works, permits, quality assurance and compliance with relevant standards.

Monitor progress against programme, cost and quality objectives, and provide regular reports to senior project management.

Ensure health, safety and environmental standards are upheld to the highest level.

Play a key role in method statements, risk assessments, and ensuring delivery aligns with project design and technical requirements.
Requirements:

Proven experience in a Site Agent or Sub Agent role on major highways or infrastructure projects.

Strong background delivering structures such as bridges, RC structures, culverts, retaining walls.

Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary site teams and multiple work fronts.

Excellent leadership, planning, and communication skills.

CSCS card required; SMSTS strongly preferred.

Relevant engineering qualification (HNC / HND / Degree in Civil Engineering or similar).
