Maintenance Electrician

Location: DD, PH, KY Postcodes

Package Includes:
  • Basic Salary: £36,083.00

  • Hours: 40 hours per week – paid door to door

  • Vehicle: Van provided

  • Overtime: Paid at 1.5x standard rate

  • Standby: £180 per week (8-weekly rota)

  • Healthcare: Single BUPA PMI & Health Cash Plan

  • Pension: Contributory, matched up to 5% of basic salary

Role Overview:

We are currently recruiting for a qualified and experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our mobile engineering team. This role will involve overseeing the electrical maintenance of approximately 50 Co-op food and funeral care sites within the DD, PH and KY postcode areas.

The position involves daily travel between multiple sites to complete a range of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks, such as emergency lighting checks, PAT testing, and RCBO checks, as well as attending reactive callouts as required.

Site visits follow a regular cycle:

  • Food stores – every 8 weeks

  • Funeral care sites – every 12 weeks

In addition to the planned schedule, you will also respond to day-to-day emergency maintenance jobs as they arise.

Requirements:
  • City & Guilds 2365 (Electrical Installations or equivalent)

  • Minimum 5 years’ practical experience in the field

  • BS7671 (18th Edition Update) qualification

  • City & Guilds 2400 and 2391 (or 2395)

  • Valid IPAF, PASMA, and COMPEX 07/08 certifications

  • ECS Grade Card (Electrician) and Health & Safety Awareness

  • Strong communication skills – verbal and written

  • Ability to manage and prioritise a demanding and varied workload

  • Full, clean UK driving licence
