Your new companyA well-established environmental consultancy is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Hydrological Advisor to join a multidisciplinary team working on a major infrastructure project. This full-time, site-based role offers the opportunity to shape environmental outcomes from planning through delivery. Your new roleAs a key member of the Ecology and Environment team, you'll provide strategic hydrological guidance to ensure the project meets environmental, engineering, and regulatory standards. You'll be involved in:

  • Supervising construction sites with a focus on water management
  • Designing construction-phase drainage and water treatment systems
  • Monitoring water quality and interpreting results
  • Advising on flood risk, climate adaptation, and drainage strategies

What you'll need to succeed

  • 3+ years' experience in hydrology or environmental advisory roles within construction or civil engineering
  • A degree in environmental science, hydrology, water resources, or a related field
  • Proficiency in hydrological modelling tools
  • Experience with flood risk assessments, drainage design, and climate resilience planning
  • Familiarity with environmental legislation and permitting processes
  • A valid CSCS card and UK manual driving licence
  • Strong written communication and IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
