Blue Arrow is recruiting for a Permanent PCV Working Chargehand in Perth!!
Pay: 20.70 per hour
Location: Perth
Hours: Primarily Monday to Friday dayshift
Duties:
Supervise daily workshop operations, providing leadership and guidance to engineering staff.
Conduct diagnostics and carry out repairs on vehicles when required.
Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental legislation, as well as company policies.
Allocate both planned and reactive tasks effectively among engineering staff to ensure smooth work flow.
Manage overtime in line with authorised limits set by the Workshop Manager.
Maintain accurate records by updating the engineering status board and garage log with all vehicle-related changes.
Liaise with the Operations team to efficiently manage vehicle breakdowns and changeovers, minimising service disruptions.
Oversee vehicle cleaning, fuelling, oil level checks, and parking arrangements.
Process vehicle defect cards accurately and in accordance with company procedures.
What We're Looking For:
NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Repair, or equivalent qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds Level 1 & 2).
Strong understanding of workshop operations and the safe use of workshop equipment.
A valid PCV licence, or a willingness to obtain one
