We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Administrative Assistant to join our team at a small business specialising in supported accommodation for young people aged 16-25. This role involves providing administrative support to ensure efficient office operations and assisting with clerical tasks in a dynamic, open-door office environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Perform clerical tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry.
  • Manage office supplies and maintain inventory levels.
  • Assist in scheduling appointments and meetings.
  • Handle incoming calls with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette.
  • Organise and maintain both physical and digital files.
  • Support staff with various administrative tasks as needed.
  • Use Microsoft Office to create documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
  • Maintain records, update information, and collate statistics.
  • Type detailed notes during meetings.
  • Assist in maintaining a detailed database and associated records.
  • Provide support to young people with everyday queries and questions.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Confidence and calmness in a busy, noisy environment.
  • Organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Empathy and patience with young people.
  • Competence with computers, including proficiency in Word and Excel.
  • Strong typing and communication skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in various administrative tasks.
  • Experience in office administration is preferred.
  • Experience working with young people is advantageous.
