Earthworks Supervisor / Foreman - Peterborough A leading civil engineering firm, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Earthworks Supervisor to join their team in the Peterborough area. This is an opportunity to contribute to a project that will enhance the region's infrastructure and contribute to smoother commutes for local residents.What You'll Do:

• Lead and supervise a team of groundworkers and machine operatives ensuring safe and efficient execution of earthworks activities.
• Maintain high standards of quality and productivity on the project, ensuring adherence to project specifications and all relevant regulations.
• Oversee excavation, fill, and compaction operations, ensuring proper techniques and compliance with environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and manage project resources effectively, including plant, machinery, and materials.
• Champion safety on the project, promoting a culture of awareness and ensuring the highest safety standards are consistently met.
• Contribute to the successful completion of the project, meeting deadlines and achieving the highest quality standards.

What We Need:

• Proven experience as an Earthworks Supervisor on highway or road construction projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of earthworks techniques, soil mechanics, and construction materials.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for managing a team and collaborating with stakeholders.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving, with a commitment to achieving project goals on time and within budget.
• A strong commitment to safety, with a proven ability to implement and uphold the highest safety standards.
