Are you ready to take your career to the next level? Our client is seeking a dynamic Project Supervisor to lead gas construction and decommissioning projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and a passion for safety and compliance.

Role Overview:

In this pivotal role, you will represent our client on-site, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with all technical and contractual standards. You'll be the crucial link between contractors and project teams, driving performance and safety throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Daily Site Activities:Ensure safe and compliant execution of works.
  • Client Representation:Monitor contractor performance and adherence to contract terms.
  • Risk Assessments:Review and challenge risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work.
  • Conduct Audits:Perform inspections and chair site progress meetings.
  • Compliance Assurance:Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g. CDM).
  • Coordination:Work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to meet project milestones.
  • Quality Management:Oversee subcontractors and direct labour, ensuring quality and specification standards are met.
  • Record Keeping:Maintain accurate site records, including progress reports and incident logs.
  • Planning Support:Assist in planning and resource management to optimize delivery.
  • Culture Promotion:Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Essential Requirements:

  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • In-depth understanding of legislative and technical requirements for gas construction.
  • Experience with integrated safe systems of work (e.g., permit to work, isolations).
  • Site-based experience on high-pressure gas transmission assets (e.g., terminals, compressor stations, pipelines).
  • Completion of SS22 course and experience with excavation methods, including vacuum excavation.
  • Willingness to travel and work away from home (up to 5 days/week).
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Skills & Qualifications:

  • SHEA Gas, NRSWA, SSSTS/SMSTS certifications.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Training or qualifications in Health, Safety, and Environmental Management.
  • Experience in leadership and influencing across multi-disciplinary teams.
