Health and Safety Advisor
Peterborough | Circa 55,000 + Car/Allowance
Irwin and Colton have been engaged by a leading Civil Engineering and Construction company to recruit a Health and Safety Advisor. This role will oversee high-profile civils and construction projects primarily across the Peterborough area. It presents an excellent opportunity for an ambitious health and safety professional seeking to further develop their career with a respected industry leader.
Responsibilities for the Health and Safety Advisor will include:
- Implementing Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures across project sites
- Collaborating with project teams during planning phases to ensure HSE considerations are fully embedded throughout all stages
- Reviewing and supporting the production of risk assessments and method statements, and providing guidance on health and safety-related queries
- Carrying out site audits and inspections, and leading or supporting incident investigations where required
The successful Health and Safety Advisor will have:
- Experience in a similar role, ideally within civil engineering, construction, or a related sector
- NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent qualification)
- A proactive approach, with strong drive, enthusiasm, and a commitment to continual learning and professional growth
