Senior Credit Controller

Lisa Wright Recruitment is working with a leading and well-established business in Peterborough to recruit a Senior Credit Controller. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a forward-thinking and people-focused organisation with a strong team culture and a supportive working environment.

In this key role, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day credit control process while mentoring and supporting junior members of the team. This is a hands-on position, suited to someone who enjoys managing their own ledger, solving problems, and driving results - all while being a reliable point of guidance for less experienced colleagues.

About the Role - Senior Credit Controller:

• Manage your own portfolio of customers, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring timely payments

• Monitor credit limits, process payments, and reduce debtor days

• Liaise with internal departments to resolve queries and maintain smooth customer interactions

• Assist in the training and day-to-day support of junior credit control staff

• Contribute to process improvements and support the wider finance team in achieving KPIs

• Ensure customer accounts are maintained accurately and efficiently across systems

About You - Senior Credit Controller:

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in credit control or debt management

• Strong communicator with a proactive, solution-focused attitude

• Familiarity with credit insurance and managing risk within customer portfolios

• Comfortable working in a busy, sales-driven environment

• Confident using Microsoft Office (particularly Excel); Business Central knowledge a bonus

• Multi-currency experience desirable
