Summary of the role:

As a Data Architect, you will play a key role in shaping the enterprise data environment within Diligenta's newly formed Data Office. You will design and deliver secure, scalable, and governed data solutions that support data-driven decision-making and enhance our ability to deliver exceptional outcomes for clients and their customers.

In this role, you'll apply your expertise in data architecture to develop a modern data landscape based on Azure technology. Collaborating with stakeholders across the business, you will create robust architecture strategies that meet regulatory requirements and enable advanced analytics, while also supporting long-term innovation and strategic growth.

What you'll be doing:

  • Working closely with the Data Governance team to ensure architectural designs follow best practice governance principles and support regulatory compliance.
  • Acting as a key point of expertise across the organisation for data architecture, promoting consistency, scalability, and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Developing and implementing secure data frameworks that protect sensitive information and meet FCA and GDPR requirements.
  • Designing and delivering enterprise-level data architecture that is both scalable and maintainable, enabling robust data management and analytics capabilities.
  • Creating and maintaining well-structured data models that support accessibility, consistency, and high-quality decision-making across the business.

What we're looking for:

  • Practical experience working with data governance and lineage tools such as Collibra, Erwin, Purview, or Informatica to support data management objectives.
  • Background in designing data solutions, with a clear understanding of compliance and audit requirements.
  • Experience working in the UK Life & Pensions industry or other Financial Services settings would be a benefit, with a solid grasp of customer, client, and regulatory data considerations.
  • Demonstrable experience designing and delivering enterprise data architecture in complex, data-driven environments.
  • Proven hands-on experience in data modelling, warehousing, and integration across modern technology stacks.
  • Good understanding of data protection and privacy regulations, including GDPR, and their application in enterprise data solutions.
