Peterborough| Full time| Monday to Friday

Are you passionate about automotive excellence and have a knack for leading high-performing teams?
We're looking for a skilled and motivated Alloy Wheel Department Manager to take charge of our client's wheel refurbishment division.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the alloy wheel department
  • Manage a team of technicians, ensuring high standards of workmanship and productivity
  • Coordinate wheel repair, refurbishment and painting processes
  • Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage suppliers
  • Ensure all safety and quality control standards are met
  • Develop efficient workflows to meet turnaround times and customer expectations
  • Liaise with other departments (e.g., service, body shop) to align operations and priorities
  • Train and mentor staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Appraisal of all staff within the department to ensure standards and morale are kept high.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in alloy wheel refurbishment, repair, or related automotive field
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Solid knowledge of tools, machinery, and techniques used in alloy wheel services
  • Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and performance targets
  • Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication skills
  • A keen eye for detail and quality assurance

Bonus Points For:

  • Previous managerial or supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of diamond cutting, powder coating, and CNC lathe processes
  • Health & Safety or relevant technical certifications
