Job Title: Alloy Wheel Department Manager
Peterborough| Full time| Monday to Friday
Are you passionate about automotive excellence and have a knack for leading high-performing teams?
We're looking for a skilled and motivated Alloy Wheel Department Manager to take charge of our client's wheel refurbishment division.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the alloy wheel department
- Manage a team of technicians, ensuring high standards of workmanship and productivity
- Coordinate wheel repair, refurbishment and painting processes
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage suppliers
- Ensure all safety and quality control standards are met
- Develop efficient workflows to meet turnaround times and customer expectations
- Liaise with other departments (e.g., service, body shop) to align operations and priorities
- Train and mentor staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
- Appraisal of all staff within the department to ensure standards and morale are kept high.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in alloy wheel refurbishment, repair, or related automotive field
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Solid knowledge of tools, machinery, and techniques used in alloy wheel services
- Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and performance targets
- Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication skills
- A keen eye for detail and quality assurance
Bonus Points For:
- Previous managerial or supervisory experience
- Knowledge of diamond cutting, powder coating, and CNC lathe processes
- Health & Safety or relevant technical certifications
