Electronic Systems Engineer - Engine Systems - 12 month contract
Location: Peterborough, UK
Hours: 37 per week (Mon-Thurs 08:30-16:45, Fri 08:30-16:15)
Contract: Full-time | Notice Period: 1 Month
Rates: Market Rates p/hr
Our Client, a global leader in industrial innovation, as an Electronic Systems Engineer within our Integrated Components and Solutions division. You'll be part of a collaborative team driving the development and integration of cutting-edge electrical and electronic control systems for off-highway powertrain applications.
What you'll do:
- Develop and support engine electronic systems from concept through post-production.
- Define system architecture, select components, and support validation and FMEA activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and support product development.
- Work hands-on in our labs, engine test cells, and with real-world machines.
What we're looking for:
- A degree in Engineering (or HNC/NVQ level 4 with significant experience).
- Proven experience in electronic system integration, diagnostics, and requirements capture.
- Strong understanding of internal combustion engines and control systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Automotive or off-highway background (desirable: JLR, Bosch, Cummins, military, or motorsport sectors).
Desirable Tools/Experience:
CAN tools (Vector CANape/CANalyzer), oscilloscope usage, FMEA, Teamcenter, Creo.
