Class 1 Driver

City Resource is currently recruiting for a well-established client in the Cambridgeshire area.

We are seeking Class 1 HGV Drivers (PAYE) to support a busy refrigerated distribution operation. Work is flexible with start times varying (you choose).

Day-to-Day Duties Include:

• Driving refrigerated units delivering temperature-controlled goods.
• Carrying out daily walk-around checks to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
• Securing and inspecting loads before departure.
• Making 1–3 drops per day, with minimal manual handling involved.
• Following site procedures and maintaining professionalism at all times.

Requirements:

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV licence
• Minimum 2 years Class 1 experience preferred
• Current CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 penalty points
• Good communication and reliability
• Experience in fridge work is advantageous but not essential

What We Offer:

• £15.00 – £16.00 per hour (PAYE)
• Minimum 8 hours paid per shift
