Senior Retrofit Assessor / Retrofit Manager
Peterborough | Full Time, Permanent | 40 hours/week | £45,000-£55,000
We're on the lookout for an experienced Senior Retrofit Assessor / Retrofit Manager to join our Planned Works Decarbonisation Team, based at our Peterborough hub. If you know your way around PAS 2030/2035, can lead from the front, and want to help drive real change in housing sustainability—this is the role for you.
The Role of Senior Retrofit Assessor/Retrofit Manager
Reporting directly to the Decarbonisation Manager, you'll take charge of managing two direct reports and play a key part in rolling out retrofit projects across our portfolio. From External Wall Insulation to Air Source Heat Pumps, you'll oversee retrofit assessments, EPCs, airtightness testing and more—making sure everything stays compliant, on-spec, and on-budget.
Your Day-to-Day
- Lead on PAS 2030/2035 compliance across multiple schemes
- Carry out Retrofit Assessments, EPCs, Borescope surveys, and air tightness testing
- Oversee design reviews and quality assurance with external PAS consultants
- Support project delivery with clear, consistent site inspections
- Manage audit preparation for MCS and PAS schemes
- Keep a close eye on team performance, coaching and mentoring where needed
- Drive resident satisfaction, track feedback, and ensure long-term community benefit
What You'll Need for the Role of Senior Retrofit Assessor/Retrofit Manager
- Qualified Retrofit Assessor, Coordinator, and experience in testing
- At least 1 year of Retrofit Coordinator experience (essential)
- Solid background in retrofit or decarbonisation within social housing or similar
- Strong understanding of energy efficiency upgrades and EPC improvement strategies
- Comfortable managing multiple live sites and liaising with both internal teams and supply chains
