Job Title: Welder Team Leader – MIG & TIG Fabricator

About the Role:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Welder Team Leader with strong MIG and TIG welding and fabrication abilities to join our client’s growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who can guide a team while delivering high-quality workmanship across a range of fabrication projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of welders and fabricators to meet production targets and quality standards.

  • Carry out high-quality MIG and TIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.

  • Interpret technical drawings and fabricate components to precise specifications.

  • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.

  • Train and mentor junior team members, promoting continuous improvement and skills development.

  • Coordinate with production and engineering teams to ensure workflow efficiency and on-time delivery.

  • Conduct quality checks and ensure all work meets company and client standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding and fabrication.

  • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a workshop environment.

  • Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.

  • Strong understanding of workshop health and safety practices.

  • Excellent communication and team management skills.

  • NVQ Level 3 in Welding & Fabrication or equivalent (desirable).
