Our client is seeking a commercially driven logistics professional to join their fast-paced business that has a strong customer centric culture and a multi-skilled, unionised work force. Taking responsibility for all operational standards within this compliance-led environment, you will ensure that operational efficiencies meet clients' stringent expectations and that all financial targets and KPIs are met. You will need to hold a CPC qualification and have a good knowledge of H&S and an IOSH certificate or equivalent is also preferred. A strong financial acumen and profit and loss experience are also called for.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure all budgets and targets are achieved and KPIs are met.
* Monitor, manage and co-ordinate all depot-based resources
* Lead and develop staff.
* Manage a sizeable, unionised workforce.
* Manage the profit and loss of the contracts.
* Deliver first class customer service and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Oversee Health and Safety compliance
* Lead organisational change, optimise operations and improve workforce performance.
Experience:
* Extensive Operations Management experience from services or logistics
* CPC qualification
* Good knowledge of Health and Safety
* Able to manage multiskilled and unionised work forces
* Commercially driven with strong financial acumen and profit and loss experience
