Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Nights)
Location: Peterborough
Salary: £46,305 + £4,000-£6,000 Shift Allowance (DOE)
Hours: Sunday to Thursday, 22:00 - 06:00 (Permanent Nights)

An established international manufacturer is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their Peterborough site, with a planned move to a new facility in Market Deeping next year.

This is a key role within a close-knit team, aimed at reducing downtime, improving plant reliability, and supporting ongoing production performance in a high-output, fast-moving environment. The business offers a strong benefits package, clean working environment, and continued investment in automation and engineering.

The Role:

  • Diagnose and repair machinery faults - both mechanical and electrical - with a view to minimising production delays

  • Deliver preventative maintenance across a variety of manufacturing equipment

  • Undertake electrical tasks including work on 3-phase systems, motors, sensors, and minor installations

  • Carry out mechanical tasks including work on gearboxes, rollers, pneumatics, shafts, and general strip/rebuilds

  • Record maintenance activity and identify repeat issues

  • Maintain safe working practices and ensure availability of spare parts

About You:

  • Multi-skilled with a solid grounding in both electrical and mechanical maintenance

  • Electrical skills should include fault finding on 3-phase systems, servo motors, control systems, and basic installations

  • Mechanical experience with drive trains, pneumatics, and rebuild work

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferred - time-served engineers also considered

  • Experience in a production/manufacturing setting is essential

  • Self-sufficient and capable of working independently on a night shift
