Assistant Site Manager - Residential Development
Location: Peterborough
Project: 150-Unit Traditional Build Housing Scheme

We're currently working on behalf of a leading, well-established housebuilder who are looking to appoint an Assistant Site Manager for a new 150-unit residential development based in Peterborough.

This business has seen consistent growth across East Anglia, the Midlands, and the South West, with a strong pipeline of new sites and continued regional investment. Known for delivering high-quality homes and developing their people, they offer genuine long-term career opportunities as part of a stable and growing team.

The Role:
You'll be supporting the Site Manager in the day-to-day delivery of a multi-phase housing scheme, ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained while assisting with site logistics, subcontractor coordination, and build progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing daily site operations
  • Monitor health & safety compliance and site housekeeping
  • Support coordination of trades, materials and deliveries
  • Conduct quality checks and resolve minor issues on site
  • Keep accurate records and reports for senior management
  • Represent the site professionally to residents, visitors and inspector

Requirements

  • Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager with a housebuilder:
  • Strong knowledge of residential construction processes
  • SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS card, and First Aid (essential)
  • Proactive attitude with strong organisational skills
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-focused environment
