Interim Material Planner

We are looking for an Interim Material Planner to join a procurement & supply chain team in the industrial and manufacturing sector. This temporary role requires expertise in inventory management, ERP/MRP systems, and advanced Excel skills to ensure efficient material planning processes.

Description

• Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and minimise excess.
• Utilise ERP/MRP systems, such as Oracle, for material planning and scheduling.
• Generate and analyse data reports using advanced Excel functions.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to align material requirements with production schedules.
• Identify and resolve supply chain challenges efficiently.
• Monitor supplier performance and address any issues promptly.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain process.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory and material planning activities.

Profile

A successful Interim Material Planner should have:

• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Oracle) for effective material planning
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
• Strong knowledge of inventory management and supply chain planning principles
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong time management and organisational abilities to meet deadlines
• Significant relevant experience in materials planning, production scheduling, manufacturing, or inventory control (3-5 years preferred)
