We are working with a well-regarded secondary school in Peterborough seeking a committed and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join their team from January 2026. This is an excellent temp opportunity for a skilled teacher looking for stability, progression, and a supportive school environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess high-quality teaching materials that support pupils of varying abilities.
  • Track student progress and provide constructive feedback to support academic development.
  • Contribute to the wider Maths department through collaboration and resource-sharing.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
  • Support the school with duties, parents’ evenings, and pastoral responsibilities as required.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
  • Strong subject knowledge of the secondary Maths curriculum.
  • Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience is beneficial but not essential).
  • Excellent behaviour management and classroom engagement skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet marking and planning deadlines.
  • Passionate about teaching and committed to pupil progress.
