Job Description:

Tempest Education is working with a high-achieving secondary school in Peterborough to recruit an experienced Teacher of Religious Studies for a September 2025 start.

This role is open to both full-time and part-time applicants. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Religious Studies across Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A Level. The ability to also contribute to the PSHCE curriculum is desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Religious Studies to KS3, GCSE, and A Level students

  • Monitor and assess student progress in line with school and national standards

  • Contribute to the wider school curriculum, including PSHCE if applicable

  • Participate in departmental planning and school-wide professional development

  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience teaching Religious Studies up to A Level

  • Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills

  • Commitment to student progress and achievement

  • Ability to work well within a team and contribute to school life
