Key Responsibilities

  • Installation & Commissioning: Install and commission fire and security systems, including intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, and emergency lighting, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Maintenance & Servicing: Conduct regular servicing and maintenance of existing systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with relevant standards.
  • Fault Diagnosis & Repair: Diagnose and rectify faults in fire and security systems promptly, minimizing downtime and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Customer Interaction: Engage with clients professionally, providing technical advice and recommendations for system upgrades or improvements.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Complete accurate service reports, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation in a timely manner.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in servicing and maintaining fire and security systems.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of fire and security systems, including fire alarms, CCTV, access control, and emergency lighting.
  • Certifications: Relevant industry certifications (e.g., FIA, BAFE) are desirable.
  • Driving License: Full UK driving license is essential.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.

Desirable Attributes

  • Experience with IP-based and networked security systems.
