Join a company dedicated to providing supported accommodation and day-to-day support for young people aged 16-21 under the care of Social Services. Our mission is to offer a nurturing environment for those who have faced traumas and may not have English as their first language. We are looking for a Key worker to join our team in a dynamic and supportive role.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Operate in an 'open door' office environment where young people drop in with various queries or for support.
  • Manage and participate in workshops and activities from the office.
  • Attend meetings with social workers and young people, ensuring detailed recording of the discussions.
  • Assist in overseeing housing and accompanying young people to appointments.
  • Perform office duties including filing, form completion, and phone answering.
  • Conduct welfare checks at houses and assist young people with everyday queries and questions.
  • The role requires flexibility to adapt to sudden changes and may involve occasional evening and weekend work, compensated at time and a half.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Confidence and calmness in handling various situations.
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor with strong organizational skills.
  • Empathy and patience when dealing with young people.
  • Competence in using computer and phone technology.
  • Excellent communication and record-keeping skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the role.
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure check and mandatory training including child safeguarding will be required.
Favourable additional skills:
  • Experience working with young people in a Social Services environment.
