Are you passionate about making a difference in a child’s educational journey? A fantastic mainstream primary school in Peterborough is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team this September through Reed Education.

?? Position Details:

  • Role: SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)
  • Location: Peterborough
  • Start Date: September
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Pay: £90–£100 per day

?? About the Role: You will be working closely with a Year 3 pupil with ASD, providing 1:1 support throughout the school day. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the pupil with work set by the class teacher
  • Managing behaviour and providing emotional support
  • Assisting in the sensory room and implementing sensory strategies
  • Liaising with the SENCO and class teacher to develop and maintain a tailored support plan

? Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN, particularly ASD
  • Strong classroom-based experience
  • DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
  • A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach to learning support
