Are you passionate about making a difference in a child’s educational journey? A fantastic mainstream primary school in Peterborough is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team this September through Reed Education.
?? Position Details:
- Role: SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)
- Location: Peterborough
- Start Date: September
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
- Pay: £90–£100 per day
?? About the Role: You will be working closely with a Year 3 pupil with ASD, providing 1:1 support throughout the school day. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the pupil with work set by the class teacher
- Managing behaviour and providing emotional support
- Assisting in the sensory room and implementing sensory strategies
- Liaising with the SENCO and class teacher to develop and maintain a tailored support plan
? Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEN, particularly ASD
- Strong classroom-based experience
- A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
- A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach to learning support
