My client is seeking a hands-on engineer who thrives in a team environment and takes a proactive approach to maintenance and problem-solving. If you're keen to upskill and gain further engineering qualifications with a business that truly invests in its people, this could be your next move.
You'll be working a 12-hour, night shift pattern and benefit from every other Friday-Sunday off.
The salary is approximately 57,000 plus opportunity for overtime (paid at 1.5x and 2x on Sunday's and bank holiday's) and additional benefits, including:

The Shift Engineer ensures the smooth operation of all mechanical and electrical systems across production and site facilities. They deliver high-quality work, support both engineering and production teams, and focus on maximising equipment uptime and efficiency in line with KPI's, as well as:
* Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance in line with safety, quality, and company standards.
* Maintain accurate documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives.
* Respond to production needs and coordinate work with engineers and factory leadership.
* Liaise with contractors and source essential spares cost-effectively.
* Keep the workshop and work areas clean, following toolbox and safety procedures.
The ideal candidate is a proactive team player who takes pride in supporting their colleagues and contributing to a positive working environment. They go the extra mile to ensure team success, showing initiative and a strong sense of ownership in everything, they do.
Ideally, you will be an apprentice served, multi-skilled engineer with a combination of mechanical and electrical skills, hold a relevant engineering qualification and have prior food/FMCG/manufacturing experience.
