About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and committed 1-to-1 Student Support Worker to work with young people who are not in mainstream education. This role involves providing tailored support to students who may have faced challenges such as exclusion, mental health difficulties, special educational needs (SEN), or other barriers to learning.
Your role will be to build trust and rapport with students, helping them develop confidence, resilience, and essential skills for future education and employment. You will work closely with students, parents, and educational professionals to create a supportive and personalised learning environment.
CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS
- Location - Peterborough
- Position - one to one tutor
- Type of work - Contract
- Start date - ASAP
- Duration / Likely Duration - dependent on each student
- End date (if applicable) - N/A
- Contract type - Temporary
- Full time/part time - Part time and full time depending on availability
- Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate 25 per hour
- Hours - Working hours can differentiate, minimum 1 hour per session and a maximum of 3 hours per session
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
- QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent
- 6 months+ experience working in a UK school
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
