About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to play a pivotal role on one of the UK’s most ambitious infrastructure projects – Eastern Green Link 2, a major HVDC subsea cable development connecting Scotland and England.

This position offers a chance to lead the commercial function on a landmark project shaping the UK’s future energy infrastructure. You’ll join a progressive Tier 1 contractor with a strong pipeline of complex infrastructure work, offering long-term career growth and a collaborative working culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take full commercial responsibility for project delivery in line with contractual, financial, and legal obligations

  • Lead and mentor a team of Quantity Surveyors, ensuring commercial best practice and compliance

  • Oversee the preparation and agreement of interim applications for payment, final accounts, and contract variations

  • Work closely with project delivery teams to manage risk and optimise performance

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders

  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to senior leadership and support strategic decision-making

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field

  • Proven experience as a Managing or Senior Quantity Surveyor on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects

  • Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and UK construction law

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills

  • Ability to manage complex commercial issues while maintaining attention to detail
