Our client is looking to welcome an ambitious person to join their growing Manufacturing & Warehouse team in Peterlee as a Lean Manufacturing Apprentice (Tape Edger).

Duties will include:

  • Ensuring mattresses are produced to the correct specification
  • Maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Operating machinery and production line equipment
  • Performing quality checks and inspections to ensure finished goods are in line with quality policy
  • Performing routine maintenance on equipment
  • Reporting any defects or issues to management
  • Meeting production targets and deadlines
  • Always maintaining a clean and tidy workspace
  • Complying with all company policies and procedures including ISO and make recommendations for continuous improvements
  • Any other reasonable tasks as required by the management team.

Required knowledge, skills and experience:

Previous warehouse experience is not essential• Must be able to pass pre-employment tests including Drug & Alcohol• Flexibility in working hours during busy periods October-May, 9-5 and June-October 8-5• Ability to work in an organized manner, cleaning as you go• Team work

Hours of work:

8am - 5pm
