The organisation focuses on creating personalised learning experiences that blend vocational and academic pathways, helping young people develop the skills needed for apprenticeships, employment, or further education.________________________________________Role Overview: Employability and Customer Service TutorAs an Employability and Customer Service Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting young learners to develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to succeed in work and life. You will work with learners aged 16 to 19 (up to 24 with an EHCP), helping them overcome barriers and progress into apprenticeships, employment, or further education.You will be part of a collaborative team, working closely with the Curriculum and Learning Lead to uphold high standards of teaching, learning, and continuous improvement.________________________________________Key Responsibilities:• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Employability and Customer Service sessions that inspire and engage learners.• Develop and maintain up-to-date schemes of work, lesson plans, and resources to meet curriculum and learner needs.• Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support to address individual learning needs and barriers.• Motivate and support learners to achieve qualifications, develop workplace skills, and prepare for progression into employment, apprenticeships, or further study.• Monitor, track, and report on learner progress, attendance, and engagement in line with organisational and funding requirements.• Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives, including curriculum development and standardisation activities.• Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment, setting high expectations for learner behaviour, attendance, and achievement.• Work collaboratively with colleagues, employers, and support services to enhance the learner experience and outcomes.________________________________________Qualifications and Experience:We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate:• A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., Degree, PGCE, or equivalent).• A professional qualification at Level 2 in Customer Services or significant related work experience.• Experience teaching in alternative provision settings or working with learners with EAL, SEN, or other complex needs.• A proven ability to engage disengaged or hard-to-reach young people aged 14 to 19 years old.• Strong motivational and interpersonal skills, with high expectations for learner behaviour, engagement, and achievement.________________________________________Additional Information:• Salary: £22,307.55 - £31,601.10 pro-rata (based on £24,961 - £35,360 FTE)• Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week (negotiable)• Contract: Permanent, term-time only (41 weeks per year)• Requirements: Access to a car and a full, valid driving licence________________________________________If you’re passionate about making a difference and supporting young people on their educational journey, we’d love to hear from you!For more information please contact Simon Atkins on or
